In 2024, the Swedish Parliament decided that the police can set up security zones in Swedish communities.

Since May, 2025, the Swedish Security Service lowered the terrorist threat level from 4 to 3 on a five-level scale.

Fines can be issued by the police, Swedish Customs, the Swedish Coast Guard among others.

Persons who are not citizens of Sweden or an EU/EEA country may need a permit to enter or stay in Sweden.

To be allowed possession of a weapon, you must apply for a weapon licence and have your application granted.

Road transport escorts are subject to the direction of the Police.
