Drone camera surveillance to be used during Eurovision in Malmö
The map indicates the area that will be surveyed by drones between 06:00 on 4 May 2024 and 24:00 on 13 May 2024.
The Police will put camera surveillance in place in large areas of Malmö between 4 May -13 May 2024.
The Eurovision Song Contest 2024 will be held in Malmö. The Police’s mission is to make sure – together with SVT, the City of Malmö and Malmö Arena – that the event can be carried out safely and securely.
Camera surveillance is one of a number of tools used by the Police to ensure security and prevent crime during the Eurovision Song Contest, which starts on 4 May.
The cameras will provide the Police with an up-to-date situational picture which will enable a quick response to any ongoing criminal acts. The footage captured by the cameras will also be of use to the Police when investigating and prosecuting individuals who commit criminal offences.
